Introduction

Massage therapy is a gentle manual therapy that can relieve pain and tightness.  In the combination with physiotherapy, it can effectively heal certain musculoskeletal and neurological condition and prevent recurrence.

It Relieves

  •   Stress
  •   Soft-tissue injury
  •   Repetitive strain injury
  •   Headache due to neck strain, tension and anxiety
  •   Post-exercise muscle soreness
  •   Chronic pain in the condition such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis and etc
  •   Postural dysfunction
  •   Numbness or tingling sensation due to conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, muscle spasm, nerve entrapment and etc

The Therapy

At Unirehab, all massage therapists are registered.  They have extensive training that includes different massage techniques and knowledge in anatomy, physiology and treatment contraindication.  To receive a registration in Ontario, they must pass a thorough exam with the College of Massage therapists of Ontario after the completion of a 2200 hours course at the government approved college including an internship before graduation.
